Special Needs Care projects are focused on volunteers of a caring and compassionate nature, patients, workers and willing to help with a variety of tasks. Medical students or health professionals seeking volunteer opportunities in different areas are welcome to exercise all their knowledge in the children of the different centers.
General tasks for the volunteer include providing care, nutrition, physical therapy, education, development of vocational skills, recreation and stimulation, as well as help to clean and maintain the facilities. The objective of his role as an international volunteer is to work closely with the center’s staff to promote better health and wellness outcomes, while participating in an intercultural learning exchange with the people with whom he is working and caring.
